HMS BADGER

I obtained a set of plans for Nelson's first ship, HMS BADGER.
I couldn't decide whether to finish it in it's historic paint scheme or leave it natural, so I decided to build two boats - one painted and the other natural.

Except for the cannon barrels, swivel guns and rigging blocks, all the wooden parts were fabricated from walnut edging veneer and dowels and the hull and deck planks were cut from Jelutong using a miniature table saw which I made from a jewellers drill and Dremel blade.



This is the first model in it's original paint scheme.
